Description / Abstract
Military enrollment has fallen significantly at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) since 2018. The military relations office reported that from 2018 to the fall of 2021, military enrollment had dropped from 780 to 362 students. The reasons included barriers to continuing education, student demographics, and military students' preferences. To address the problem, best practices in recruiting and retaining military students indicate that implementing a centralized portal will streamline communication and processes between military students and various IWU departments.
